We are still in the crisp north and moving at a brisk pace. It’s a beautiful time of year to visit and especially nice knowing that we don’t have to stay for the cold snowy stuff that comes soon after the beautiful fall leaves fall to the ground. And, I’ve heard since Hurricane Norbet passed by us in Mexico the yucky humid weather went with it. Life’s good. We go home tomorrow. It’s been a wonderful trip, seeing family and friends, taking in the musical Jersey Boys and We Will Rock You and eating lots and lots of food we don’t readily find in our part of Mexico.
Spying this good stuff isn’t nearly as hard as I thought it might be when I decided to make a habit of it.

When you read this you’ll probably be in that beautiful home of yours in Los Cabos. I had a wonderful conversation with Johnny yesterday and the day before. It was good to hear his voice. He tells me all is well with your Family in the North and that was good to hear as well.
The picture in your latest posting is beautiful. Yes, that is a nice place of the world but the winters leave something to be desired at least that’s what this old Southern Californian thinks.
We are preparing to leave for Southern California on the 31st of October and plan to be there until after the American Thanksgiving which we plan to spend with Ginger and her family. I will be working a week or 10 days for the California Highway Patrol in San Luis Obispo which delights me that they feel they can still count on me at my age to perform to their high standards. We will be driving as Becky still hasn’t seen a lot of the US and I like showing it to her. We will go to St. Louis, MO from here then on to Denver before heading South through Utah, Arizona and Nevada before hitting California. We will be with Uncle Wimpy for a couple of days before going to Frances’ on about November 10th. Johnny tells us her new home is beautiful. We are anxious to see her and her home too.
Oh yes, we are beginning to see the change of colors here in the mountains of NC and expect them to peak about the time we leave.
Love,
Uncle Bill

By now you will all be settled back home. It seems like just yesterday you were all here. The majority of the leaves have fallen. You picked a great week to be here for the fall colours. Our car rally is only a few days away and hope the leaves will be at their peak when we get to Niagara.
Talk to you soon,
Kathy
