“How many bad books the world may yet be spared because of the busyness of writers.”~ Gore Vidal

Yes, I’ve been busy.  Who isn’t?

We all have things to do.  The bright side is that most of us have a reason for getting out of bed in the morning and that’s a good start.  Get up, get dressed, show up!

Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I had nothing to do, no goals, no commitments,  no obligations, just pure leisure time.   (I suspect it would be boring but I wouldn’t mind trying it for a day or two)

If all goes according to plan my novel, “the one”  I’ve been yacking about on and off…will be ready this spring.  Ready to find an agent… who will be ready to find a publisher… who will be ready to find a market…..

  1. One certainly does need a goal, things to look forward to. Looking ahead with a goal in mind really keeps us going.
I have no doubt that you will find an agent and a publisher. At Rotary club this past week we had an author as a speaker and his big piece of advice to aspiring authors was, “Be careful when picking a publisher”.

  2. who will be ready to sell me a book which will be ready to be autographed…

    Dear novelist Pollyanna,

As long as you take the “no” from in front of goals, leisure time in excess is great, but adding that “no” in — it becomes boring.
