Dear novelist Pollyanna,

As long as you take the "no" from in front of goals, leisure time in excess is great, but adding that "no" in -- it becomes boring.

One certainly does need a goal, things to look forward to. Looking ahead with a goal in mind really keeps us going.
I have no doubt that you will find an agent and a publisher. At Rotary club this past week we had an author as a speaker and his big piece of advice to aspiring authors was, "Be careful when picking a publisher".

I resolve to bite my tongue when someone who has been published says she won't say she is a writer until she has pushed herself forward and found an agent for her novel. I will only resolve that because I am second guessing that she feels it will be a catalyst, as in light a fire under her. : )

If I did resolutions, I would have to include most of yours in my list, too, so to make it easy on myself, I'll just resolve to put more effort into doing what I know I should be doing at the moment.

I'm glad yo have continued to write. I am also impressed with your research which indicates you look for and find information that gives you a starting point as well as backs up the point you are trying to make.
Merry Christmas to you Johnny and Julian.
